Time and Tide is the third episode in the ABC mini-series Marvel's Agent Carter. It first aired in the United States on January 13, 2015.

SynopsisEdit

After connecting Stark's car to his butler, as Stark is not around, agents Thompson and Sousa take Jarvis in for questioning. Thompson reveals his knowledge of Jarvis' former treason charge (which Carter overhears), and threatens to have him deported by notifying the immigration office. Carter purposely derails the interrogation by committing a bumbling error in order to get Jarvis out - even though it reflects poorly on her competence as an agent and furthers the stereotype that as a female she is less qualified for the job. She is harshly reprimanded by Dooley, and is forced to carry on as though her mistake was an act of incompetence in order to keep up the ruse. Jarvis and Carter then follow the sewer system below Stark's vault, through which Brannis took the stolen technology. Carter reasons that the haul was floated via raft through the sewers and to the docks, where they find the weapons on board Brannis' ship, "The Heartbreak." Jarvis phones in an anonymous tip to the S.S.R., giving Sousa the location of the ship and the stolen goods. Meanwhile Carter fights off a guard who was working with Brannis, but they are forced to leave him behind when the S.S.R. arrives. While en route to S.S.R. headquarters, as the guard is about to blow Carter's cover, an unidentified assassin kills both he and Krzemenski.
